What age can you use a jogging stroller?

Jogging strollers are not recommended for babies under 6 months old. The recommended age is based on head control so somewhere between 6-8 months is the ideal time to start your baby in a jogging stroller. We started using ours at exactly 6 months with both of our babies because they had decent head control (this is important because jogging stroller seats do not fully recline).

This is probably our #1 asked question and it is very much a matter of personal preference. I have heard a lot of moms complain about the bulky aspect of jogging strollers and how they are heavier than standard strollers. But, if you are asking me “Are jogger strollers better?” then my personal answer is a resounding yes. Think about all of the places you take a stroller (a store, a park, the zoo, the beach, etc.) and then ask yourself if you want tiny wheels or bike tires to navigate all of those areas.

Are jogging strollers worth it? Yes, yes they are. They are so versatile! They have adjustable seats for different aged babies, premium rubber bike tires, and they fold in half to easily transport. Given the choice between a lightweight stroller that I can take some places and a lightweight jogging stroller that I can take everywhere, I choose the jogging stroller!

How do you travel with a jogging stroller?

Traveling with a jogging stroller is similar to traveling with any large piece of baby equipment. Usually, we lay jogging stroller in the bottom of the cargo around and stack our bags on top of it. However, if we are headed straight to a destination where we need to use it then we turn it on its side and stack our other bags beside it. This allows us to slide it in and out without having to play tetris every time.

Are jogger strollers good for everyday use?

YES! I think a lot of people believe that jogging strollers are good for only jogging or for travel. Im here to tell you that jogging strollers are good for everyday use! We keep ours in the back of our SUV so that we can use it anytime we need it (which is literally daily).
