About Our Family

Hi guys! My name is Brianna and I am currently a stay at home mom of three awesome kiddos under the age of 5. My husband and I are both Georgia natives with a passion for seeing new places.

Our dream is to one day road trip across the United States from coast to coast. We LOVE traveling in the car so that you can stop and see anything and everything on the way.

We started going on adventures when our oldest was about 6 months old, so we have been doing this for a while (he will be 5 in a few months) We have since added a little sister and a baby brother! All of that to say, if we can do it so can you!

Very friendly otters!

A road trip with two full sized car seats (one of which is still backwards) and a pack and play means we played tetris as we piled our things in a 5-seater car. It took hours of organizing bags and books and blankets.

So, about a year ago we did a thing. It’s one of those things that takes your status from “newlyweds” or “married with a baby” to “married with kids.” We bought a grown up SUV.

Big deal, right? Sure was. We bought one of those “it has a third row and a luggage rack and kid proof mats” SUVs. Guys. THAT THIRD ROW! It makes a big enough difference in travel that I named a blog after it.

If you’re still loading up kids in a 5-seater, may the force be with you.

What You Can Expect To See Here

Third Row Adventures is dedicated to making family road trips a piece of cake. We love to travel with our kiddos. Some of our best trips have been in the state we live in.

Others have been only a couple of hours away but across the state line. Last fall, it was a trip all the way up the East coast from Georgia to New Hampshire. We drove it, guys.

A Little More About Us…

Traveling has become easier since I’ve been at home with our kids but that has not always been my day job. Prior to staying home, I was a teacher serving students with Autism in public schools. I also worked as a private behavior therapist so you will find some resources for traveling with kids with all kinds of abilities on our site.

I absolutely loved my time as a teacher and hope to return to the classroom once my children are school-aged. I have also enjoyed the gift of being able to stay at home with my kids. We always knew we wanted them to see the world (or at least the other side of Georgia). Now that I am home full time, we have so much more flexibility to travel and that’s exactly what we have been doing!

Planning a trip with kids, whether young or older, requires some thought and a bit of planning. I spend a ton of time making sunny day plans, rainy day plans, and boring car ride plans before we head out on an adventure.

Am I type A? Absolutely. Too organized? Probably. But, I’ve done a lot of research for the trips we’ve taken and I would love to share it with you. So, I hope other planners (and even spontaneous travelers) enjoy our trip plans as much as we did.

Happy traveling!

Brianna
